Cable Management at the Rack Simplified

R&M is reacting to the increasing need worldwide for high-density cabling solutions for data centers. A new 24-port Angled Panel measuring one height unit (1U) is extending the possibilities of the efficient use of Cat. 6A modules in network cabinets and 19’’ racks. It is used to set up transmission channels of Class EA in accordance with ISO/IEC 11801 for operating 10GBASE-T applications.

090.7349The major advantage of the Angled Panel: Space, time and material can be used more efficiently in the data center. The angle simplifies horizontal cable management on the front of the rack and shortens the path to lateral cable routing. The front is thus used more efficiently and patching is faster.

In the new Angled Panel, the 24 keystone interfaces are arranged clearly in one row. Sophisticated methods for suppressing near-end crosstalk (Alien NEXT) make it possible to use this compact method of construction. Both shielded and unshielded connection modules can be used.

The patch panel can be equipped with the Cat. 6A ISO and Cat. 6A EL modules from R&M in a flash. Snap-in technology makes it easier to mount the individual modules. The sub-rack is made of steel, the faceplate is made of halogen-free plastic.

Four label strips at the top and laser-engraved port numbers at the bottom as well as colored coding clips help in administration. The integrated cable tie shelf supports orderly cable assembly and stable strain relief. In shielded installation, the modules are automatically grounded via the metal frame.
